Clean, cozy and comfortable. Beautiful, quiet area within distance to Utica to visit college student. Peaceful woods by the lake to get vacation vibe.

The photos absolutely do NOT depict what you are staying at. It is a work in progress that COULD be nice but it is not done. No kitchen storage or amenities. Beds were awful, front bedroom is actually a 3 season porch converted into a 2nd bedroom with holes in the wall filled with spray filler. Bathroom shower was filthy, leaking apparent on the wall and black mold on the window sill; checked out after one night and managed to get 3 of the 5 days back once we engaged AirBNB staff. BUYER BEWARE

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt über Weihnachten. Die Lage war wie von uns erhofft: ruhig und abgelegen in verschneiter Natur. Die Hütte war bei den eisigen Temperaturen immer angenehm warm zu halten. Man konnte sich in der Unterkunft wohl fühlen. Sie war etwas schwach mit Licht ausgestattet und nicht ideal, um selbst zu kochen. Es fehlten ein Toaster, ein größerer Topf und den Grill konnten wir mangels Gas nicht nutzen. Unangenehm war, dass wir ziemlich viele fremde Haare im Bett fanden.

Honestly thank you ,and for those looking to stay at a beautiful place free from the Hussle and Bussle of city life Short Time Stays is worth it.

very beautiful cabin! my only complaint (if you can call it that) is that a porch light might be nice! specifically for taking the dogs out to pee at night :) other than that though, lovely location near the water and the host was super communicative! we enjoyed our stay very much :)

Delivered on what we were looking for. Very nice area and not that far from Old Forge. Would have liked to stay longer, but you know how life goes. Likely that we would have had enough to do if stayed closer to a full week. It is a nice spot!

The cabin was cozy, peaceful and spacious! We felt right at home. The property has a cute fire pit area as well. The front bedroom has good sized desk and large mirror, with the perfect nature sunlight which I used to do my makeup. We will definitely be back!

We stayed to tkae our two boys to.water safari and had a great time. Plus tue boys loved having the xbox there!!

The place was just like the pictures. We loved the games that were provided. Comfortable beds and couch. It fit the bill for what my daughter and I were looking for in a quick get away from home.

My husband and I rented Cozy Cabin for our friends to stay at during a family event. They absolutely loved their stay there and would stay there again.

This host is extremely helpful and responsive. The cabin is located on a main road and does have views of the lake however the lake or beach is not accessible from this property.

This was in a very beautiful area and fit what we needed for a few days away. The listing however does not adequately describe the home, as it is much smaller and isn't as lavish as the pictures portray. There is quite a bit of cosmetic work that could be done to greatly improve the overall experience and make it worth the extra cost. The host was proactive in messaging and check in was a breeze; the host even messaging us about early check-in if we wanted.

We spent a few days here, and my only regret is not having spent more time. This has been one of, if not my favorite Air Bnb’s to date. The home was very cozy, and beautifully decorated. The area is extremely beautiful, surrounded by dense North American forests. All of the local trails a short drive away bring you deep into true nature. This is the place for you if you love nature, hiking/trails, and especially fishing. My girlfriend’s first fish ever was a Northern Pike right down the road along the guardrail. This location could comfortable fit 2 couples, or a group of 3-5 people. In our case we came alone and had the entire place to ourselves. Whether you want to sit back and relax, or be out in nature, this location is the place to be. I would definitely return again.

My husband and I had a great time. The scenery is beautiful. Our dogs also loved the lake and just relaxing in the back yard. Very nice furniture and the interior design is a wonderful combination of modern and rustic. Our host was very friendly and very quick to respond to any questions we had. The neighbors were also very friendly. It was extremely relaxing.

Great area with a quiet neighborhood, perfect spot for a weekend away with friends. We all enjoyed our time and the comfortable living room area. The lake was wonderful. I’d absolutely recommend this spot!!

The price is right. The cabin was clean. Located in summer vacation community. I was working in the area, and this was perfect for a single patron in my situation.

Peaceful stay with Great Lake views!

We were looking for a great quiet getaway and this was definitely it. We had a great time and got to get some needed rest.

The cabin was a perfect place for my fiance and I’s yearly ice fishing trip! We were able to travel to different lakes in the area and had a quiet, warm and cute cabin to return too!

Well-decorated, comfy, and rustic cabin. We enjoyed the many lamps, cozy touches, and board-games. Host was a proactive and prompt communicator. The area has many nature trails and activities to offer and be sure to grab fresh donuts at the local diner!

Had the best weekend staying at Jesse’s cabin! The cabin is so cozy and quaint and the area is peaceful. We found some great local spots nearby like a brewery, a thrift store and a cafe. Jesse was super responsive and helpful when we got snowed in on our last day and even offered to let us stay an extra night to make sure we were safe! 10/10 would definitely come back!

My husband and I stayed here for Christmas with our dog and it was perfect for what we needed. The street was nice and quiet, and the space was cozy and as pictured!

The Black Bear Cabin was a great stay! Jesse was extremely accommodating and able to help us during an emergency travel situation. The cabin is so cozy and was extremely beautiful with snow around it. Everything about it is warm and welcoming like home. 😊

Close to areas of interest. Had to get a few needed supplies like paper towels and tissues. Beds are full size not queen so it was a little tight to sleep. Otherwise a nice little retreat.

My best friend and I went for a girls weekend and this was perfect. The surroundings are quiet and house itself is so cute inside. We felt right at home and loved every second of our weekend and would definitely go back again!

The dust, dirty windows, and hair on the bedsheets did not match the cleaning charge. Otherwise it's a cozy place to stay.

This was actually my very first time staying in an Airbnb. I was thrilled with how easy the entire process was, from booking it online, communicating with the host ( who was very quick to respond with any questions,), to enjoying the privacy of an entire house/cabin . The place was extremely cozy and clean. We felt very comfortable. The area is spectacular this time of year with trees changing colors! Perfect place if your looking for a Fall get a way! And with the surrounding lakes, i can only imagine how great it is there in the summer! Thank you Jesse for everything! Your place is awesome! Hopefully we will be returning in the near future! Jesse's home is well-taken care of, and the location was great as it was a five minute drive to the wedding we were attending which Jesse confirmed prior to my booking it. We were super bummed though with size of rooms and beds and had I realized how tiny they were I would not have booked the place. My husband is 6ft 5inches, the room that had the "bigger" bed was so crammed, so one person is stuck against a wall and only way in and out is to climb over the other person - not fun in pitch dark dead of night.

The cabin was a great place to retreat to. Not too far from restaurants and places to hike. The name is great “Black Bear…” there are quite a few extra black amenities like plates, silve… black ware, ceiling, sheets, table, etc. It was relatively quiet aside from the local traffic driving by the close proximity road. The nearby lakes are serene. Jesse was very attentive to our requests and inquiries. Extremely communicative and helpful in any way possible through resolve. Super host! Thanks for the stay!!

We enjoyed our stay at Jesse's cabin. Jesse was a very good about communication. It was a cute place, however, the listing description should more accurately describe this rental.

We enjoyed our time at Jesse's place. The area is nice and we spent our time driving to great walks in the beautiful area. We especially enjoyed Pixley Falls, the Lake Julia Preserve, and the Pitch Pine Bog. Jesse communicates exceptionally well, reaching out to check in and responding very quickly. We needed some items and they were taken care of promptly. Just for others' information, we did not need the smaller bedroom which was lucky as it was hot the first few nights, and that room would have been less comfortable. But we slept comfortably in the front room with the air conditioner. The frog pond is really sweet--don't miss it. There were four bullfrogs there when we visited and the native plants surrounding it are very pretty!

Good location for family reunion nearby.

Definitely not Barbie’s palatial pink Dream House, but this cozy Black Bear cabin is exceptionally clean, well-appointed in true Adirondack decor and the perfect place to enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. Head north to Old Forge with its many attractions, and perhaps the scenic chairlift at McCauley Mountain. Or go a bit south to Utica, where Oktoberfest is celebrated all year long at Saranac Brewery’s Biergarten on Varick Street. Jesse is a super host, unobtrusive, but responds almost immediately if questions or concerns.

Was exactly what we were hoping for for our annual trek to visit family and friends near our hometown where we grew up! Easy access to restaurants, site seeing.

Jesse's place has a relatively large living / dining space for a "camp" / cottage. That was great and allowed me to make a family dinner for 8. The beds are comfortable & best of all its a very short walk to a nice swimming area and boat launch. If you are looking for a lot of privacy, this isn't the spot as it is relatively close to other homes on the lake. That said, it's relatively peaceful because the road doesn't get a lot of traffic. Some of the other reviewers complained about the AC, which doesn't make sense as there is central air in several rooms + a wall unit in the front room. The back bedroom also has a powerful fan. One reviewer also said that both beds were full, but that's not accurate. The primary bedroom has a queen. Both beds are pushed up against walls because the rooms are narrow, but Jesse's photos clearly depict that. Jesse is super responsive & very available for questions or concerns.

Jesse is quick to respond, kind and easy to work with. The place was clean; the area is gorgeous, and ultimately we had a really nice time. That said, I think the listing and photos overstate what you are getting at this place. It is smaller and more DIY than the pictures make it look. Neither bed is a Queen as the listing says. Both are full size beds, and there isn’t space for anything bigger. We did not find that the one window unit kept the back room as cool as we would have liked for sleeping. The fan made it workable, but another month would be more comfortable. You can glimpse the lake from the master bedroom and drive to a couple of lovely areas on the lake. But I wouldn’t describe it as a lake view/lake access listing. Again, Jesse was kind and responsive, and the place is perfectly fine. I just wouldn’t pay the same amount to stay here again. If my expectations were managed differently by the listing and price point, my review would be different.

Jesse was a great communicator and checkin was seamless. We felt like the price per night was a little more than what we got. It wasn’t clear in the instructions that neither room has an actual door with privacy- one has a drape and the other a door with windows. Both beds were fulls instead of one being a queen, which does not match the description. The place was also pretty cluttered, with pictures on the floor blocking routers, etc. if the price point was lower, I don’t think these things would have been as notable. All in all it was a decent stay though and Jesse made sure to let us know they were available for anything we needed which was appreciated.

Restful, relaxing atmosphere. All the furniture was very comfortable.

We ended up arriving a bit later than expected but Jesse was quick and helpful with responses. He gave my boyfriend & I some awesome spots to visit as well as coordinates so we could fish with our little boy. My pup LOVED the falls and enjoyed the cozy backyard. House was very clean and orderly. Heat/air was adjustable at any time. Everyone in the neighborhood was kind as well. We will surely be returning within the next few months. Thank you again for being an awesome host!!

This was our first air bNb. My husband, our 2year old daughter and I enjoyed a couple days stay at Jesse’s cabin while house hunting in the area. The place was clean and well kept, it was cozy and the additional little things like a spare charger, usb slots on a few lamps, adjustable lighting, a Xbox 360, and lots of board games really made this place stand out against the hotel experience. The place was beautiful and it had a nice fireplace and sitting area outside we didn’t have time to use this trip. Jesse was also a great host, checking in and responding quickly to any concerns. Even offering local places to visit. 10 out of 10.

We really enjoyed staying at Jesse’s cabin. It was very clean and cozy. Jesse was proactive and responded quickly to our questions. It’s a great place to relax and unwind. There is plenty of room in the kitchen to prepare a meal. We loved barbecuing and enjoying a family meal.

Jesse is an amazing host. I appreciate her quick communication and attention to detail. The cabin is very cute, cozy and private. The location is excellent if you’re looking for rest and relaxation. I hope to rent Jesse’s cabin again sometime in the future.

Camp accommodated all our needs for a short weekend trip to Utica. Host was extremely accessible and accommodating when there was an issue with utilities. The camp is surrounded by other camps limiting views and access to the lake. The lot is also smaller than suggested for playing with pets. It would benefit from some proper handywork on finishings inside cabin. It was a quaint stay with our pets.

The cabin was exactly as pictured, Jesse was super helpful and caring. He checked on us multiple times to make sure we were doing okay, the neighbors and area were great! 10/10

This charming, rustic cabin was so peaceful and relaxing. It was clean, comfortable and so quiet. Jesse was very quick to answer with any questions I had and was friendly and checked in to see how things were going. And if that was not enough there is a view of the lake from the master bedroom. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely see if this place is available.

We had a wonderful stay at Jesse's cabin in the woods! The interior decor felt like something out of a magazine, and the beds and couch were extremely cozy. We especially loved the main bedroom, as it saw ample sunlight and offered a desk area perfect for squeezing in a couple hours of work. I definitely recommend booking and would love to book again soon!

We enjoyed our stay at Jesse's place for the 5 nights we were there. It snowed and temperatures got into the low 20's while we were there, but the cabin was always warm and cozy. There are a few things that need updating, but for us, it was fine. Jesse was very accommodating, and was quick to respond to any question we had and any request we made. The neighborhood is very quiet, and we felt very comfortable staying there. If we should ever visit that area again, we would definitely plan to stay at Jesse's place.

The place was good he was very responsive and helpful. Though the stove didn’t work but is fixed now and the propane for the grill wasn’t filled when we got the replacement tank but the rest was good.

Great little rustic cabin! Location was in a peaceful, lakeside community. Temps during our stay hit -22 but the cabin remained warm and cozy! Jesse was a very accommodating and responsive host. We hope to return in the future and would recommend. It was perfect for our couples getaway.
